Cruising in 2013

One of the greatest perks in my line of work is the ability to travel beyond my own imagination ! My family nicknamed me (with pun intended) the "World CEO" because of my frequent trips.

Whenever the person seated next to me in the plane asks what I do for work, I have progressed from the once long and detailed explanation about nail art  to now just a simple answer - product and skill development. It's just unfathomable to many people that teaching the art of nails can take you places around the world....similarly, passionate nailtechs travel everywhere to learn from the best !

So, if you've not heard about education on a cruise ship, or missed the last boat, here it is again in September 2013 !

For more information, check out Cruise With The Nail Stars Website

Here are some photos from the first Cruise with the Nail Stars on the largest cruise ship in the world the Oasis Of the Seas and you can view the clips on You Tube

Don't miss out !

My Team

ONS South East Asia Team in Melbourne

I love our dynamic team of talent and dedicated educators. Such a beautiful group of people and a joy to be around with. Always inspiring and amazing that nail is a universal language that has no communication or cultural boundaries. We always seem to understand each other perfectly well once the file and brush starts making magic !

VIVCAT L.A

VivCat LA was like a reunion of nailtechs and good friends of the nail industry. While everyone had been busy with their respective schedule, classes, tradeshows and work, this was definitely a good break to be able to have some play time with nails and work with some cool designs.

VIVCAT Orlando

Orlando, Florida always had a relaxing effect on me and so one of the best VivCat class this season was right here ! The girls were such fun to work with and there was good interaction and full of laughter in this laid back, creatively educational atmosphere.
The beautiful pool view from our classroom

Amongst the designs that were covered in the class - the Cat embedded 3D by me and the Denim by Viv

All you gorgeous people that made our day !

NAILPRO USA End of Season 2012

We made it to the NAILPRO 2012 Team Cup again !
Great to catch up with all the nail greats and also competed with the best.
I feel that as age catches up, time seems to run out too fast, there's so much to do and so little time !

Global Nail Design Awards Gold Coast, Australia

The 3rd Global Nail Design Awards (GNDA) was held in Gold Coast in April at the Twin Towns Resort. The weather was supposed to be nice and cool around 20degrees Celcius unfortunately it started to rain non-stop the day we arrived and the weather only cleared up on the day that we were leaving Gold Coast.

I had the pleasure of judging the Poster competition, Flat Art, Fantasy Art, Sculptured Nails and Gel Manicure. Did not judge 3D !
I have to say that the Poster entries in the Masters level this year was phenomenal - very inspired and excited to see the next one and to get all my novice girls to start competing.

The turnout for this year's competition was great despite the gloomy weather.
Majority being Australians, there were also contestants from Japan and Malaysia and entries from as far as Germany and Singapore.
It was such a great pleasure to catch up with friends and industry professionals.
Congratulations to all who participated in the competition and especially to everyone who placed, job well done especially to Olga Menshikova who won the Overall Champion once again !

Also Congratulatons to our educators and Singapore team who made top 3 in the art categories ! (Yoko - 2nd Flat Nail Art Open, Erica - 1st 3D Nail Art Masters and Jess - 3rd 3D Nail Art Masters)

Do check out the next Global Nail Design Awards in Melbourne in October 2012
